Sep 9, 2014 / Briggs 3.5HP starts then dies (Yes, diaphragm was replaced) #1. So ready to bang my head up against the wall trying to fix this myself. The engine code is 098902-1110-B1 and it's mounted to an MTD edger if that matters. I have now replaced the diaphragm three times, replaced the carburetor, cleaned every fuel orifice that I can.
